AETA to showcase 5G at IBC2022
WorldCast Systems has produced a new generation of Ecreso FM transmitters. The company says it will launch the new Ecreso FM 1kW from the AiO Series at IBC2022.
WorldCast’s Ecreso FM transmitter brand that has been on the market for more than 60 years. The company says the Ecreso FM 1 kW — in its compact 2U form — delivers the highest efficiency on the market. It adds that in standard operations, broadcasters benefit from up to 76% efficiency (AC to RF). Further energy consumption is possible using the company’s patented SmartFM technology.
Like other transmitters in the range, the Ecreso FM 1kW’s built-in software enables seamless operation with less separate equipment. It includes a five-band sound processor, stereo encoder and full RDS and UECP capabilities.
A new RF planar design, a swappable power supply and a removable fan from the front panel help make the new Ecreso FM 1kW highly robust and easy to maintain — critical factors in ensuring the lowest operating costs. Ecreso FM 1kW includes a user-friendly web and mobile GUI, SNMP support, and cloud monitoring with Kybio, another complimentary WorldCast software for remote configuration, monitoring and network management.
“With the new AiO Series, we have breached a major milestone for achieving the lowest total cost of ownership in FM transmission.”
A significant innovation with the AiO Series is its combination of Ecreso and APT codec technology in the form of an embedded APT IP decoder. This directly ingests audio over IP to the channel digital FM modulator and is compatible with both SureStream and APTmpX. WorldCast Systems says this innovation represents a significant advancement in FM transmitter design and brings significant added value to broadcasters looking to modernize their network with a transition to an all-IP broadcast chain.
“Our mission is to provide our customers with the most advanced solutions that reduce their operating costs while supporting them in delivering the best FM service to their listeners,” said David Houze, Ecreso product manager at WorldCast Systems. “With the new AiO Series, we have breached a major milestone for achieving the lowest total cost of ownership in FM transmission.”
